Job description

Inventory Technician

Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Department: Inventory Control

Position Summary

Will be responsible for daily cycle counts of product, ensuring accuracy of inventory records, investigating warehouse discrepancies, and performing quality audits of warehouse processes. The selected candidate should have the ability to work both in a team orientated environment as well as independently. This role will require strong attention to detail and meticulous accuracy. The ideal candidate must possess a high degree of flexibility, the ability to competently respond to direction and meet scheduling demands, and the ability to satisfy physical demands of the position. Applicants for this position must be extremely safety conscious. Prior inventory experience is preferred.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory locations
  • Use of various software to include the Microsoft Operating system, Avante ERP and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word
  • Frequent lifting, bending, and pulling
  • Operation of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Clear and professional communication with leadership, and internal/external customers
  • Occasional operation of hand tools
  • Assist where needed as directed by the Inventory or Warehouse Supervisors

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Driven and self-motivated individual
  • Work experience in inventory control is strongly preferred
  • High degree of organizational/analytical skills
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand
  • Team player with a positive communication style
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in performance of job functions
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and prior ERP experience preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere
