DUTIES:

  • Maintain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
  • Deliver concrete to each job in a safe and efficient manner, within the specification as instructed on our delivery ticket.
  • Keep assigned equipment clean and free of debris.
  • Use reclaimer and washout facilities responsibly.
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year of mixer driving experience or equivalent (preferred, but not required). We are willing to train CDL holders without experience.
  • Good safety record with strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment while providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work long hours, especially during the busy season.
  • Ability to lift at least 65 pounds and knowledge of DOT compliance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by our Team Members in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Sitting: 50% of time
  • Standing: 20% of time
  • Driving: 30% of time
  • Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 65 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their heads.
  • Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects. Required to climb the ladder on the truck several times a day.
  • Speaking / Listening: Need to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervisors in addition to receiving and following instructions, and understanding and following safety requirements.
  • Working Conditions: 40% of time will be spent working outside in the elements. Must be able to work long and irregular hours (early and late) during the busy season.
