PRIMARY PURPOSE

As Production Group Leader, you will lead and facilitate shipping and/or receiving crew and participate in the process as needed in the distribution facility. You will also assist in the operation of departments and perform workflow coordination and administrative duties as required in order to ensure a successful workplace. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of selection, replenishment, and stocking within the distribution center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform administrative duties for and act as department supervisor in his/her absence.
  • Perform workflow/load coordination to ensure properly operating department.
  • Help to plan, organize, delegate and follow‑up with associate's job duties to be completed.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are running in a safe, orderly, and effective manner.
  • Assist the supervisor with interviewing and hiring new associates (if applicable).
  • Perform own shipping and/or receiving tasks while ensuring that all crew tasks are accomplished to standard.
  • Assist in training other shipping and receiving associates on all required tasks.
  • Ensure that the crew understands and follows safe work practices.
  • Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
  • Provide Feedback to associates on personal performance .

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Education.
  • Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
  • Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.
  • Computer literacy.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Use time management skills to make decisions in order to accomplish most important tasks based on available talent.
  • Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills.
  • Able to meet production standards set by the company.
  • Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
  • Able to perform and coach/teach all listed responsibilities without support of supervision.
  • Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
