Job description

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for providing the production floor with a hands on leadership role in our product making activities. This position ensures that assigned areas meet all company cost, quality, and quantity requirements. The floor supervisor handles production orders and is responsible for meeting all company budget goals. This position also handles all personnel issues and the administrative duties that accompany.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule the work of the department.
  • Direct, motivate, and train employees to assure product quality and quantity.
  • Provide necessary training and reinforcement to ensure employees understand and can apply the skills required to produce quality products. Provide direction and leadership to employees.
  • Recommend improvements in methods, processes, policies and instructions to ensure department objectives.
  • Complete all necessary administrative duties or documentation that arise with personnel issues.

Qualifications
  • 3 years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in coating/film technology, drying, and winding techniques preferred
  • Bachelors degree in management or technical field preferred
