Job Description

Seeking a Consultant Level Liaison Engineer to support commercial aircraft production operations across Everett, Seattle, Auburn, and Renton, WA. This role serves as the engineering representative on the factory floor, providing hands-on engineering support, resolving production issues, and ensuring design intent, safety, and manufacturing compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze production non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and develop engineering dispositions

  • Apply engineering and design principles to resolve product, process, operational, and quality issues

  • Support production operations by providing real-time engineering solutions on the factory floor

  • Identify, document, analyze, and communicate deviations impacting design intent, quality, or safety

  • Develop and implement product and process improvements

  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and engineering design reviews

  • Support aircraft production, build, post-production, repair, and modification activities

  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with engineering and manufacturing standards

  • Develop customer correspondence supporting continued safe operation and maintenance activities

  • Participate in repair teams, accident investigations, and on-site engineering support activities

  • Analyze structural repairs and modifications to determine proper shoring, jacking, and safe repair methods

  • Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analysis

  • Develop non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards

  • Collaborate closely with production personnel, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional engineering groups

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering

  • Experience performing root cause analysis and resolving production-related engineering issues

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and aircraft production operations

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in factory and production environments

  • Ability to support hands-on engineering activities in manufacturing environments

  • Current or prior BCA MRB experience within the last 2 years

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes

  • Experience supporting aircraft structural repairs and modifications

  • Experience with static strength analysis and production engineering support

  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing procedures and standards

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET or ABET-equivalent accredited institution with typically 14+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering.
