Job description

The News-Review Page Designer

Lotus Media Group is hiring a page designer for its award-winning newspaper The News-Review.

(PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION)

The ideal candidate should have the following qualification:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and PhotoShop.
  • Work efficiently on deadlines, while also planning long-range projects.
  • Able to execute ideas for content in an interesting, fair and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with newsroom staff.
  • Adhere to the company code of ethics.
  • Some knowledge of grammar, spelling and editing.
  • Prior newspaper experience preferred but not required.

The News-Review is a locally owned newspaper that is printed on site in Roseburg. Our design department has won several awards for incorporating a traditional newspaper layout and modern elements to create a visually interesting product.
