They are responsible for organizing schedules, coordinating communication between various departments, arranging equipment, and handling paperwork. Their role is essential for ensuring that a production runs smoothly, stays on budget, and meets deadlines. What does a production coordinator do?

A production coordinator manages and coordinates a film or television production crew. Their job responsibilities are to supervise production assistants, coordinate scheduling, and track billing. The production manager often gives them additional tasks. A production coordinator splits their time between the set and the production office. They sometimes help with promotion and marketing for the film or television program. The exact duties vary widely depending on the type of work, such as a feature film, independent film, television show, or talk program.
