  • Performs long and short range planning, evaluating and analysis; and projection of future resource requirements. Reviews and monitor workloads. Establishes and maintains production control; and assures that internal reports are maintained for use in evaluating quantity and quality of employee production.
  • Trains, develops, and orientates subordinates; and interprets regulations, requirements, and procedures. Incumbent provides explanation on the inter-relationship of the various factors of the Patient Business and Benefit Coordinator activities.
  • Establishes and maintains production control; and assures that internal reports are maintained for use in evaluating quantity and quality of employee production. Incumbent maintains records of work accomplishments and time expended, preparing workload and production reports as required.
  • Performs a variety of Benefit Coordinator functions such as: providing leadership and serving as an advocate for Indian patients in the effective utilization of alternate resources such as Medicare (CMS), Medicaid, Department Veterans Affairs (DVA), Bureau of Employment Compensation (BEC), Third Party Liability, Children's Special Health Services, Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), Affordable Care Act (ACA), etc.
  • Applies extreme discretion when considering possible entitlement to available programs; in determining the most advantageous way of processing the action of enrolling eligible clients; or making further research to entitlement to all reimbursement activities.
