Leidos’ Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Production Manager to join our team supporting a stand-alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system as well as other DOD and aerospace applications. Primary Responsibilities As part of the site leadership team, the Production Manager will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nations war fighters.  Agility, flexibility, and creativity will be necessary to successfully navigate production challenges.  Responsibilities include: * Manage and lead a team of production technicians
* Maintain shop organization and 5S, performing weekly 5S audits
* Brief team in daily morning meeting on status of production jobs
* Work with production control team to understand deliverables and deploy resources effectively to support on time delivery
* Work with manufacturing engineering to continuously improve production flow
* Work with quality to understand status of nonconformities and support closure to move forward to the next step
* Identify production roadblocks and escalate to appropriate teams
* Hold team accountable to adhering to the written production processes
* Identify and support execution of continuous improvement projects
* Identify and escalate risks in the production processes
* Maintain department performance metrics
* Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain Secret Clearance. Basic Qualifications   * Candidate least 5+ years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
* Prior supervisory experience
* Prior exposure to precision machining and assembly processes
* Experience with MRP/ERP systems
* Understanding of GD&T
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications * BS degree in engineering, logistics, or business
* Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification.
* Prior experience in Deltek Costpoint
