Job Summary:
Vergence is seeking a Production Control Technician to monitor production job schedules and ensure processes complete without error. The role involves coordinating with technical support personnel, designing corrective actions for process failures, and participating in shift handoffs.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor production job schedules for pay, personnel and accounting application systems executing in an IM+BM zOS environment to ensure scheduled processes complete without error or delay.
• Coordinate operational issues with software development team, release management and other technical support personnel in support of prompt and accurate resolution of any processing errors.
• Design and execute corrective actions in the event of process failures or errors.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate on-call personnel.
• Participate in process handoff at beginning and end of assigned shift.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of Production Control experience
• Ability to learn, apply and disseminate knowledge to others.
• Ability to work remotely and individually or in a team.
• Experience with job scheduling software such as Control-M
• Willingness to perform shift work as requested in support of mission objectives.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Experience performing mainframe computer operations tasks such as following runbook instructions and resolving abends and interruptions in scheduled jobs.
