The major function of this position is:

Efficiently and effectivelyinspectallMaui Jimand Zealplano and Rxproductto ensure ANSI and Maui Jim standards are met.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $19/Hr.

1st Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (Monday through Friday)

The primary responsibilities and duties of this position are:

Rx Quality Control

  • Inspect allproductto verify quality assurance with QA equipment.Follow all written procedures toinsureproper operation of equipment and inspection of product.Timely manage the flow of lenses and trays through the QA process-225 orders per shift with less than.15return ratio.

  • Multi-task tomaintainan efficient flow of production and breakage.Work between all Rx departments toaccomplishour mutual goal of high production, low spoilage, customer satisfaction, and high quality.Troubleshoot production delays.

  • Monitor andassistin the maintenance and repair ofequipment.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the quality assurance area and equipment.

  • Follow all lab safety procedures.

Plano Quality Control

  • Inspection

  • Verify physical and system inventory counts of incoming and outgoing product.

  • Use and understand AQL frame sampling plan.

  • Use technical drawing and print details to evaluate frames to ensure theycomply withMaui Jim standards.

  • Log frame defects in the Fioriprogram.

  • Repair/Rework

  • Analyze defects anddetermineif they can be repaired.

  • Use frame heatersina high capacity to rework frames that are out of alignment.

  • Use frame heaters to fix varnish issues on glossy frames.

  • Switch out and replace lenses in frames.

  • Use frame polisher to repair frame defects (pits, scratches, polish marks)

  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble frames.

SAP

  • Use SAP to document inspected good/defective product by either restricting if from inventory use or releasing it for picking.

  • Use SAP to transfer product within the QC department or between departments.

  • Perform all other work-related duties as requested or required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work with repetitive machinery for long periods of time.

  • Ability to read equipment maintenance and operating manuals.

  • Ability to visually inspect product for defects.

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.

  • Ability to stand & sit for long periods of time.

  • Ability to type or key data into the computer.
