The Module Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role supervises production employees, coordinates workflow, monitors productivity, and promotes continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational goals. This role is a full-time, on-site position supporting Module production at Hale Products in Ocala, FL.
Hale Products is a leading manufacturer of fire pumps, valves, and foam systems, delivering reliable water flow solutions trusted by fire and emergency response professionals worldwide. It operates as a business unit within IDEX Corporation's Fire & Safety group, alongside other major rescue and fire-protection brands.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production team members.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders and production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees to improve performance and productivity.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment problems, and employee concerns.
  • Monitor production metrics, including efficiency, quality, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other departments to optimize operations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management.
  • Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and process improvement activities.
  • Monitors inventory levels and communicates material requirements to support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Assists in production and assembly operations as needed to support workflow and meet production goals.
  • Responsible for accurate timekeeping and attendance tracking for personnel, including timely submission and compliance with organizational policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
