The Production Supervisor job is a management position responsible for supervising hourly staff to make sure all daily tasks are completed promptly, overseeing all aspects of egg production including hen livability, maintenance of houses and equipment, execution of all production and safety programs, pest control, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Supervises hourly employees including, but not limited to, training, planning, assigning, and dispatching work, communicating expectations and evaluating performance, and addressing complaints and seeking problem resolution as quickly as possible.
  • Compiles reports about production and provides management with updates.
  • Responsible for monitoring the ventilation and watering of poultry.
  • Oversees the beak trimming and bird vaccinating crews.Prioritize safety, report hazards and maintain cleanliness of Production Houses.Monitors compliance with the organization's policies, occupational health and safety practices, as well as all other applicable regulations, and accurately completes documentation as necessary.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by Production Manager and General Manager.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university or three to five years' experience and/or training is required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
  • Availability for night shifts, weekends and holidays when applicable.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to balance many projects and operations in a continuously changing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), preferred.
  • Ability to lead a small team.
  • Forklift Trained or Certified.
  • Good communication skills.
