Job description

Job Title: Returns Processing & Quality Control Associate

Hours Monday - Friday 8am 4:30pm (some weekends)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Returns Processing & Quality Control Associate to join our warehouse operations team. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing returned apparel while ensuring all products meet the company's quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining product quality and inventory accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Receive and process returned merchandise in a timely manner.
  • Perform visual inspections of returned clothing to evaluate quality and condition.
  • Identify defects such as stains, tears, missing tags, damaged packaging, discoloration, or signs of wear.
  • Determine whether products can be restocked, repaired, discounted, or disposed of according to company guidelines.
  • Verify returned items against customer return documentation and system records.
  • Accurately update inventory and return status within the warehouse management system.
  • Repackage approved merchandise for resale, ensuring items meet company presentation standards.
  • Separate damaged or defective merchandise and document findings.
  • Communicate quality concerns and recurring product issues to supervisors and other departments.
  • Maintain organized workstations and ensure returns are processed efficiently to meet daily production goals.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, returns processing, retail, or quality control experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify product defects.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
