Sunbelt Supply is a global provider of flow control solutions. We maintain one of the largest and most diversified selections of valves, actuators, actuation accessories and specialty PFF in North America, comprised of more than 50 major manufacturers. We provide in-house valve automation services, including CAD design and drawings, machine, fabrication, assembly shops featuring CNC machinery, and automation repair work.

Job Information

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating activities in the Shipping/Receiving Dock including Unloading and loading semi-trucks, U.P.S. and FedEx trucks
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing products and goods. Packaging and preparing LTL shipment and documentation
  • Routing material to either staging or shipping areas
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • Ability to work on Valve automation and Assembly with direct from the warehouse supervisor
  • Must be experienced operating a forklift. Certification a plus
  • Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and additional software to track and communicate internally, as well as with Customers, Carriers and Suppliers
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, able to prioritize work

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility
  • Knowledge of typical warehouse equipment, machines and tools
  • Forklift experience
  • Material resource planning and/or production control experience with Systems Applications Processes (SAP)
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems
  • Valid driverโ€™s license

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand

  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard

  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
  • Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Occasionally loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)

Work Environment

This role operates in a warehouse environment. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required. Typically requires less than 10% travel.
