This role is critical to maintaining the quality, safety, and functionality of our heavy equipment before it reaches our customers.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical ability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.


Job Summary

The Production Associate will be responsible for working in the production area, performinglight mechanical assemblyand conductingpre-delivery inspectionsto ensure equipment meets our high standards of safety and performance. This includes installing a variety of heavy equipment attachments (buckets, couplers, thumbs, forks, carriages, lights, GPS systems, hydraulic hoses, etc.), setting hydraulic pressures, and conducting functionality tests.

This position requires mechanical knowledge, experience operating or working around heavy equipment, and the ability to work effectively in varying outdoor conditions while following strict safety protocols.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform light mechanical assembly, including installing attachments and components (buckets, couplers, thumbs, forks, carriages, lights, GPS systems, hydraulic hoses, etc.).
  • Adjust and set hydraulic pressures as required.
  • Assemble and disassemble heavy machinery using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.
  • Operate equipment to test and ensure proper assembly and functionality.
  • Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly, testing, and inspection purposes.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections, checking mechanical components, electrical systems, and overall performance.
  • Perform visual checks for damage and complete functionality tests on each unit.
  • Document inspection results using a designated inspection app, including notes and photos of any issues.
  • Report defects, discrepancies, or safety concerns to management and work with the maintenance team to address issues.
  • Maintain accountability for company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety regulations at all times.
  • Participate in safety meetings and required training.
  • Occasionally interact with customers regarding inspection results or equipment condition.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Hands-onmechanical aptitudewith experience in assembly, inspection, or repair of heavy equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and heavy machinery.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems in construction or agricultural equipment.
  • Proficiency using mobile apps for inspection and documentation.
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs overhead, work at heights up to 15 feet, and perform labor in outdoor conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience assembling or repairing heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with specific equipment brands or models used in our operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills.


Physical Requirements

  • Extended periods of standing, bending, lifting, and climbing in/out of heavy machinery.
