Job description

Rug Finisher / Production Associate
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
Sanford, ME
Join Our Team!
We are looking for reliable, hardworking team members to join our production team as a Rug Roller / Production Associate. In this role, you will help prepare finished rugs for packaging by rolling, binding, labeling, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards.
No prior experience is required. We will provide training for candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Roll and bind rugs according to production job cards.
  • Communicate with cutters and production team members to ensure products are processed correctly.
  • Operate automatic and manual rug rolling equipment.
  • Adjust rolling guides to accommodate various rug sizes.
  • Load rugs onto rolling machines and monitor the rolling process.
  • Insert shrink-wrap to secure rolled rugs.
  • Attach header cards and labels as required.
  • Perform visual inspections for product quality and imperfections.
  • Transfer finished rugs to the next production station.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to read, count, and perform basic measurements.
  • Ability to work well with coworkers in a production environment.
  • Ability to safely use material-handling equipment, including a gantry lift for plastic wrap.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling.
