We are adding a Production Associate to our Liverpool, NY, production operation. The Production Associate is responsible for performing various assembly activities, ensuring that assemblies are done correctly, efficiently, and timely, maintaining high standards for quality, working diligently to meet production goals daily. Production Associates are primarily responsible for assembling parts and units for sub-assembly and final assembly of our headgear products and may perform other product related assembly activities.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, adjust, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hands, hand tools and power tools in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
  • Does work right the first time; corrects own errors; regularly produces accurate, thorough work.
  • Regularly meets production goals and deadlines set daily.
  • Rotate among various assembly stations in order to give and receive training and gain general knowledge and experience on multiple workstations.
  • Display cooperation and willingness to work where needed.
  • May be assigned to various production tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover daily needs.
  • Follow all prescribed safety and housekeeping guidelines.
  • Visually inspect, test, and adjust unit to ensure that parts meet specifications and customer order requirements.
  • Perform set-up of parts and materials for assembly line.
  • Punctual and dependable, and ready to begin work on time each day and follow all time and attendance policies, safety policies and company policies.
  • Perform repair work on repairable returns and sort and dismantle returned products.
  • May perform printing on product prior to assembly.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, communicate and comprehend written and verbal procedures and instructions in.
  • Previous experience in assembly preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform routine tasks that may be repetitive at times.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and hold.
  • Ability to frequently walk, reach with hands at arms' length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
