Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Control and maintain production within assigned areas.
  • Ensure target efficiencies are measured and maintained for daily production activities.
  • Ensure that the production schedule is met each day / week.
  • Establish area goals to support production and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe associates to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Enforce workplace safety regulations and procedures.
  • Control and maintain 5s activities.
  • Ensure conformance to quality standards.
  • Ensure completion of all documentation assigned to Team Leaders and Production Associates.
  • Delegate assignments as required.
  • Complete all assigned documentation.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as requested.
  • Implement production processes with continuous improvement.
  • Create documentation for production support and data collection.
  • Develop training programs for Team Leaders and Associates.
  • Initiate work orders for equipment problems.
  • Responsible for environmental, health and safety issues in the manufacturing area.
  • Participate in the planning of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA / IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and compliant.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws and statues and other governmental regulations, which are directly applicable to the company.
  • Develop, document and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production and quality.
  • Direct Reports: All team leaders, production associates and material handlers.
  • Support IATF16949 Initiatives.
