Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Firefly Production Associate - Level III - 1st Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Ladson, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 


    Championing a proactive safety culture by stopping work when hazards arise, reporting incidents immediately, using proper PPE, and promoting an interdependent environment where everyone looks out for one another.
    Protecting people and the environment by correcting hazards within your control, recognizing environmental impacts, and actively engaging in HSE training to strengthen site wide safety performance.
    Elevating quality through disciplined execution by following SPC, poka yoke, visual standards, and process documentation while raising issues early to reduce cost and quality exposure.
    Ensuring product integrity by performing accurate inspections, identifying non conforming material, and taking action to protect downstream processes and customer expectations.
    Delivering high precision manufacturing results by independently operating equipment, machining and assembling components to exact specifications, and consistently achieving production goals and cycle times.
    Developing and supporting others by instructing and coaching less experienced team members, serving as an informal technical resource, and strengthening overall team capability.
    Improving equipment reliability and flow by performing operator care tasks, maintaining a clean work area, collaborating with skilled trades, and identifying equipment needing repair to reduce downtime.
    Driving continuous improvement with your team by communicating effectively, completing required training, and actively participating in initiatives that enhance safety, quality, material flow, and employee development.

  • Lead fault recovery within manufacturing process. Understand the sequence of work being done in each station and be able to properly execute the functions of the cell.
  • Lead the purge and equipment startup sequences daily
  • Understand the different grease/epoxy/data tag change out procedures and be able to execute them with support from team lead.
  • Lead all rework processes and understand the intricacies of what can be reworked and what cannot.
  • Lead all changeovers and master sequences- In normal production the system will ask for mastering to be completed and values to be entered. This role is required to understand how to utilize the measurement devices and how to enter the data back into the HMI.
  • Complete the loading of the line and unloading as required for production
