Seasonal Production Associate - Lincoln, NE


Summary Statement 


AgSource is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the seasonal position for a Production Associate in our Lincoln Lab location. In this role you will process soil, plant tissue, irrigation water and green house media samples for sample entry and laboratory analysis. Provide daily maintenance of sample preparation equipment and janitorial duties within the sample preparation area. To maintain good attendance is a condition of employment and an essential function of your job. This position is hiring for multiple shift schedules: 1st (9am-5pm), 2nd (2pm-10pm).


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sample lineup, stamping and preparation of soil for drying process. Insert QC samples into daily laboratory run according to current SOP. Recognize and identify samples needing special tests and/or problems.
  • Monitor the drying process of the samples to ensure a timely start to the grinding of the samples. Grind the soil samples into cups to be arranged accurately in trays. Stage soil trays in the designated area to be tested by lab technicians in the morning.
  • Maintain and update sample held in short and long-term storage. Process samples requiring decontamination in accordance with current SOP.
  • Maintain a clean and effective sample entry work area. Perform maintenance on grinders, dust collection systems and drying ovens.
  • Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace.
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Strong foundation in basic math/accurately counting
  • Naturally organized, and self-motivated with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation to workplace
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
