Job description

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking qualified applicants for several production positions. Our Evergreen Plant is located in Castleberry, AL.  This facility's primary products are TJI Joists and Microllam Laminated Veneer Lumber for beam and header applications. 

Starting rate will be $18.00 per hour. Increases will occur after successfully completing a 90-day probationary period.

 Key Functions:

  • Commitment to working safe and following all safety rules and regulations
  • Start-up and stop equipment
  • Assist with production line
  • Clean production area
  • Sweep and remove debris
  • Load and unload items from machines
  • Feed or place items onto equipment for processing
  • Lubricate equipment
  • Ability to interpret work instructions
  • Take instructions from supervisors
  • Two years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to work either a day or night shift, including some weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
  • Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions of the position, which may include climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting and bending.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment testing process.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
