Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Assists in day-to-day functions of the Weld Department including but not limited to sandblasting parts and components.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate the sandblast machine to clean parts and components
- Sandblast and clean various components while standing for long periods of time
- Read Engineering prints/drawings/documents
- Identify and verify parts and materials to work order
- Verify accuracy of paperwork as required
- Periodically inspect tools and equipment for accuracy/deficiencies
- Ensure job orders remain with parts at all times
- Observe and follow all safety practices dictated by company policy
- Work and assist in other departments as required and perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to read Engineering prints/drawings.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to lift 51lbs or more on occasion with a lifting partner.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
