Job Title: Production Associate (Immediate Hiring)

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Associate in a dynamic food production environment. You will play a crucial role on the production lines, handling tasks such as boxing, stacking, loading, unloading, and palletizing food products. Your work will involve managing boxes weighing 15-20 pounds, either by feeding them into machines or stacking them for distribution. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage tasks on production lines, including boxing and stacking products.
• Load and unload products into machines for processing.
• Palletize products and wrap them for distribution.
• Open boxes with empty glass bottles and feed them into production machines.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, and warehouse settings.
• Ability to lift 15-20 pounds regularly.
• Capability to stand for shifts ranging from 10-12 hours.
• Ability to work collaboratively on a high-speed production line.
• Adherence to GMP practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with pallet jacks, packaging, and palletizing.
• Ability to work comfortably in environments with strong food odors such as garlic, jalapeños, and salsa.

Work Environment

Work in a bustling food manufacturing environment without air conditioning or heating. You will work long shifts in a setting with diverse smells and temperatures, requiring safety attire such as gloves, hairnets, and safety glasses. The role involves standing for extended periods and wearing steel-toed boots and royal blue shirts provided by the employer. The facility hosts 160-200 people during peak seasons, and the team primarily speaks Spanish or Haitian Creole. Facilities include a break room with microwaves and vending machines, and personal lockers for storing belongings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, MD.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
