What You'll Do

As a 5-Axis Machinist at SyBridge Technologies, you'll be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing 5-axis CNC machining centers to manufacture precision tooling and components.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers
  • Program and optimize toolpaths using Lemoine and/or PowerMill
  • Read and interpret engineering CAD designs, Red Line dimensions, and GD&T requirements
  • Perform machine setups, prove-out new programs, and optimize machining processes
  • Select appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for complex components
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Verify parts meet quality and dimensional requirements
  • Deburr and clean finished components
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements to improve quality and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, programming, and production teams to meet customer deadlines


What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience operating and setting up 5-axis CNC machining centers in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Experience programming using Lemoine and/or PowerMill (preferred)
  • Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain-controlled CNC machines is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of 5-axis machining principles, tooling, machine setups, and workholding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering CAD designs, and work to tight tolerances
  • Experience inspecting precision components using a variety of measuring equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working around varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other manufacturing conditions
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as required
