Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Operate and adjust industrial saws, including band saws, circular saws, and miter saws, to cut materials such as metal, wood, or plastic.

  • Set up saws, including adjusting blade speed, alignment, and other settings to match material specifications.

  • Monitor the cutting process to ensure precision and consistency in cut dimensions.

  • Load and unload materials onto and from the saws, ensuring proper handling and positioning.

  • Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts according to blueprints or work orders.

  • Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.

  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on saw blades and machinery to ensure optimal performance.

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating saws, and replace worn or damaged parts as needed.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or mechanical problems with the saws.

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding machine operation and material handling.

  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities, material types, and any issues encountered.
