Prefer Steady, Hands-On Manufacturing Work?

If you're dependable, comfortable with repetitive work, and like staying active throughout your shift, this could be a great fit.

We're hiring a Manufacturing Production Associate for a 1st shift opportunity with a Connecticut manufacturer. Your primary responsibility will be working with sheet steel used in the production of transformer cores. You'll also have opportunities to help in other areas of production, giving you some variety throughout the work week.

The work is repetitive but not highly strenuous. You'll primarily stack pieces of sheet steel, measure stacks for accuracy, and keep materials organized for production.

Convenient commute from Middletown, Middlefield, Durham, Cromwell, Meriden, Wallingford, Berlin, and surrounding Central Connecticut communities.

What You'll Do
  • Stack sheet steel according to production instructions
  • Measure stacked materials for accuracy
  • Stock and organize laminations by hand
  • Read and use a ruler for basic measurements
  • Assist with assembly work
  • Operate small crimping machines to attach wires
  • Operate lamination stacking equipment
  • Help square and close transformer cores
  • Move between production departments as needed
  • Follow work instructions and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
What We're Looking For
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or similar hands-on experience
  • Comfortable performing repetitive work throughout the shift
  • Ability to read a ruler and take accurate measurements
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent quality
  • Willingness to learn different production tasks and help where needed
  • Ability to lift approximately 30–40 pounds
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • $19.00–$21.50 per hour, depending on experience
  • Monday–Friday, 1st shift
  • Regular hours of 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Variety through occasional work in different production departments
  • Opportunity to learn manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Full-time hours
  • Potential for permanent hire

Overtime may occasionally extend the workday until approximately 4:30 or 5:00 PM, depending on production needs.

Our goal is to make the right match—for both you and the client. You'll begin your employment with A.R. Mazzotta Employment Specialists while working onsite with our client, and when it's a great fit for both, there may be an opportunity to join the client's team permanently.

If you're looking for steady 1st shift manufacturing work, enjoy hands-on tasks, and take pride in being dependable and consistent, we'd like to hear from you.   Apply today!
