Schedule: Full time, 12:30pm - 9pm

The Utility Worker is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, dining utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and cooking items, brought to the station by servers, dietary aides, and cooks. They're responsible for keeping their kitchen area sanitized, clean, safe, and stocked with the items needed for the job.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization. 
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
  • Perform kitchen activities including ware-washing system set-up and break down, dish washing, pot washing, general cleaning duties, storing of food and non-food supplies, and prep production. 
  • Assist serving staff with setting of tables and workstation areas as well as clearing tables. 
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, commercial dishware-washing system, and areas in kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and Residents in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum six (6) months' utility/dish washing experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in working with seniors is preferred.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we ask about your vaccination status.
