Come and play a key role at CHCH News, a multiplatform news organization headlined by Canada's leading local heritage station, CHCH-TV. We have a strong commitment to quality news programming across multiple platforms serving the dynamic and rapidly growing regions of Hamilton, Halton, Brant, and Niagara. We have an immediate part-time opportunity for a Production Assistant.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Working in concert with the Morning Live producer, Evening News producer, anchors, reporters, Lineup editor, writers and director-switchers, assist in all aspects of production of our newscasts on air and online
Monitor social media and news feeds
Post clips and other news to chch.com and other digital channels
Liaise with Master Control & Traffic
Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
Possess at least six months of live news production experience
Be well organized
Demonstrate strong spelling and grammar skills
Possess a broadcast diploma or equivalent
Have a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
Working knowledge of ENPS, Adobe Premiere Pro and WordPress is a strong asset.
Be familiar with the current events of Hamilton, Halton, Niagara and Brant.
