Job Title: Testing Technician Department: Production - Art

Name: TBD Reports to: George Demetroules Effective Date: TBD

Job Summary: Hours M-F 9:00a – 5:30pm Full-time on-site in Production

Ambitious, hands-on, practical, detail-oriented individual who understands adhesives, sealants, tapes, and mechanical stress testing. You have a sharp eye for consistency and performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Test Strength, shear, elongation, heat resistance, flexibility, and durability of new product samples
  • Run side-by-side comparisons of Flex Seal Products vs. competitors
  • Help identify winning products worth launching
  • Use test equipment to measure performance
  • Document your findings in a clear and organized way
  • Work closely with our product development and marketing teams

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in working with adhesives, sealants, and/or building materials
  • Background in lab testing, quality control, construction and/or mechanical testing
  • Ability to design and build simple fixtures for product testing
  • Ability to follow testing protocols and think analytically
  • It helps if you are mechanically inclined with automotive and/or construction experience
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to work independently or in a team
  • Someone who fits in with the Flex Seal vibe: fun, passionate, and hands-on.
  • Should be proficient with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and be able to present results in an organized and professional manner

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years of related experience desired

Must have a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Good physical stamina for occasional long days, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Should be able to move and lift large heavy items and be physically fit.
  • Able to work in a variety of environments (inside/outside) in South Florida weather.
