About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Compensation Analyst, Workday (Lead Business Execution Consultant) to support and enhance our Compensation Review (Advanced Compensation) product capabilities. This role serves as a strategic partner between Compensation, Product, and Technology teams, helping deliver innovative solutions that improve compensation processes, enhance the user experience, and drive operational excellence across the enterprise.

The successful candidate will leverage strong business analysis, problem-solving, and Agile delivery skills to translate complex business needs into scalable solutions while supporting the ongoing evolution of Workday Compensation capabilities. This position requires a collaborative professional who can effectively partner with Compensation leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders to influence strategy, drive continuous improvement, and deliver meaningful business value.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of Workday Compensation Review (Advanced Compensation) enhancements that improve business processes and user experience.

  • Partner with Compensation, Product, Technology, and Project Leadership teams to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

  • Serve as a trusted consultant to stakeholders, identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.

  • Create and maintain key delivery artifacts, including business requirements, process documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Drive Agile delivery activities, including planning, configuration, testing, defect management, and implementation support.

  • Leverage Workday, data analysis, and business insights to evaluate impacts, validate outcomes, and support informed decision-making.

  • Manage priorities, risks, dependencies, and progress using Jira and Agile methodologies to ensure successful execution.

  • Mentor team members and promote best practices while contributing to the ongoing evolution of Compensation technology and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience administering, configuring, and/or supporting Workday Advanced Compensation, compensation review cycles, merit planning, or related Compensation processes.

  • Experience designing and managing large, complex global programs, processes, or services.

  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile project methodologies and tools such as Jira.

  • 2+ years of experience with Human Resources applications supporting Compensation, such as Workday.

  • Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across business and technology teams.

  • Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other business analysis artifacts.

  • Experience leading and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, defect management, validation, and documentation of results.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, drive continuous improvement, and learn complex systems and processes.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
