Senior Product Support Manager

Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Support Manager to support the Air Dominance program in Hazelwood, Missouri.
This role will report directly to the Program Product Support Manager and will provide leadership across key functional areas including Maintenance Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning and management, and Service Engineering, with indirect oversight of fleet facilities support.
The ideal candidate is an experienced product support and sustainment leader with deep military aircraft maintenance background, proven expertise across multiple product support elements, and demonstrated success supporting development programs from concept through fielding. They bring strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and communication skills, along with a focus on optimizing life-cycle cost, improving fleet readiness, and advancing maintainability and next-generation sustainment solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages product support activities across maintenance engineering, ILS planning and management, and service engineering.
  • Integrates and evaluates across all product support elements to ensure alignment with product support objectives and program requirements.
  • Coordinates the development of next-generation sustainment concepts and life-cycle support solutions.
  • Ensures design for maintainability is incorporated into product support planning and execution.
  • Supports the optimization of life-cycle costs, fleet readiness, availability, and sustainment performance.
  • Leads cross-functional coordination with engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, field service, customer support, and program management.
  • Provides technical management of suppliers and supports process improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers.
  • Acquires and manages resources for department activities.
  • Brief senior leadership and customer stakeholders on program status, risks, issues, and recommended actions.
  • Supports execution of product support strategies across multiple phases of the product life cycle.
  • Ensures compliance with contract requirements, company processes, and applicable military sustainment practices.

Security Clearance:
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience with military maintenance and/or avionics experience on military aircraft as active duty, guard, or contractor
  • Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)
  • 3+ experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
  • Experience in at least one of the following Integrated Product Support elements: Product Support Management, Supply Support, Maintenance Planning and Management, Technical Data, Support Equipment, Sustaining Engineering, or Design for Maintainability/Supportability OR experience with Integrated Logistics Support products such as technical publications, logistics support analysis and provisioning
  • Experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Ability to engage with business and functional stakeholders to discuss and present technical and project related information
  • Experience with product development life cycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • EVM / CAM Certification
  • Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience developing or executing next-generation sustainment strategies
  • Experience with major modification, fleet support, or product support integration programs
  • Experience leading supportability, maintainability, or logistics integration initiatives
