This role requires frequent travel to customer meetings, market visits, product reviews, and industry events. This role will work in a hybrid way approximately four days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather the voice of the customer through specialty retailer visits, market travel, Sales partnerships, and discussions about new launches, displays, portfolio gaps, and emerging needs.
  • Translate customer feedback, consumer insights, competitive activity, and design trends into product recommendations, color palettes, collection strategies, product assortments, and design direction.

  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Category, and other brands to align product recommendations with customer needs, brand positioning, and business priorities.
  • Evaluate portfolio performance, competitive activity, emerging trends, and gaps within existing product lines to identify current and future commercial opportunities.
  • Lead and support portfolio reviews, line reviews, customer presentations, strategic planning sessions, and go-to-market discussions.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and internal partners, gather meaningful feedback, and create alignment around product direction and priorities.
  • Develop a working knowledge of hard-surface flooring products, construction, manufacturing, and technical considerations to effectively support customers, Sales partners, and product development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two to five years of professional experience in product design, interior design, trend research, portfolio strategy, merchandising, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of color, design trends, consumer preferences, and brand positioning.
  • Ability to translate research, customer feedback, market observations, and consumer insights into actionable design and product recommendations.
  • Confidence presenting ideas and recommendations to customers, Sales teams, internal partners, senior leaders, and groups of varying sizes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently for customer meetings, market visits, product reviews, and industry events and work in the office 4 days per week.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in residential interior design or the design of laminate, resilient, wood, or other hard-surface flooring products.
  • Experience in flooring, home furnishings, building products, interior products, or a related residential design industry.
  • Experience presenting design concepts, trends, product strategies, or portfolio recommendations to customers and business leaders.
  • Experience in a customer-facing design, account management, or sales-focused role.
  • Experience developing product assortments, collection strategies, color palettes, or category roadmaps.
