POSITION SUMMARY:

The TYM North America Product Planning & Strategy Associate will oversee the strategic planning, development, testing and execution of the company’s sub-compact & compact product lines. This position involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and assisting in the development of long-term product roadmaps and strategies. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful planning, development, and launch of new tractor models.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape.

• Analyze industry reports, customer feedback, and market trends to make informed product planning & decisions.

• Develop and implement comprehensive product strategy for sub-compact and compact line up aligned with corporate business goals.

• Create a product roadmap that prioritizes features, selling points and performance enhancements based on market demands and customer feedback for our sub-compact and compact products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing and sales (TM’s) to define product requirements and specifications.

• Monitor & analyze sales data, competitor product features, pricing & strategies.

• Work closely with HQ engineering teams to ensure the development of high-quality products meeting US customer expectations.

• Assist in yearly feedback collection to support new product development (Sub-compact & compact).

• Assist & oversee proto/pilot field testing & customer feedback collection for new product development along with existing product improvements (Sub-compact & Compact).

• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Industrial, is required.

• 2-to-3-year experience in the agriculture or construction (heavy machinery) industry.

• Ability to interpret data, perform market research and translate findings into actional product strategies.

• Familiarity with the entire product lifecycle and product development process.

• Advanced capability of various software packages, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Power BI.

• Ability to independently plan and prioritize projects with detailed documentation.

• Ability to build relationships and skillful collaboration between cross functional stake holders.

• Ability to identify and implement the best business practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Collect, analyze and present results in a concise, actionable format.

• Approximately <20% travel required, (domestic and international).

• Ability to participate in products calls with HQ (South Korea) per needs.

• Korean / English bilingual skills is an added advantage for this position.
