Job description

AstraZeneca is looking to hire a Director, Data Product Strategy & Integration as part of our Commercial Transformation.This role sits with the Data Management& OperationsteamwithinStrategicFieldOperations(SFO) under broader Innovation and Business Excellence Umbrella.This role is responsible for accelerating commercial value through data innovation reinforcing the value of data as a competitive asset critical to enabling Commercial decision making.

The primary responsibility is to lead the strategic definition and delivery of high-impact data products and services that fundamentally transform our commercial model. This role converts executive business priorities into a scalable data product roadmap, establishes modern, AI-enabled information architecture and governance, and ensures data design drives superior field execution, omnichannel engagement, and demonstrable revenue growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business-Led Data Strategy & Product Ownership. Translate the most critical commercial needs (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical) into a prioritized, domain-centric data product roadmap. Define clear acceptance criteria and measurable business outcomes (e.g., revenue lift, speed-to-value).
  • Transformation Roadmap & Narrative. Define the strategic "from-to" vision for commercial data utilization. Steward the multi-horizon transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment of resources, sequencing of MVPs, and focusing all stakeholders on quantifiable business value delivered over mere activity.
  • Modern Information Governance & AI/Agentic Controls. Architect and enforce enterprise taxonomy, master data, and decision rights across structured and unstructured information. Implement innovative, automated (AI/Agentic) policy controls for data quality, compliance, auditability, and process efficiency.
  • Integrated Commercial Data Architecture. Unify and govern the data design across our core commercial platforms (CRM, MDM, Martech/Digital Core, Data Lake). Ensure data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) to maximize use-case velocity and model readiness across all commercial domains.
  • CRM & Omnichannel Data Integration. Partner directly with CRM and Digital leadership to embed data product capabilities that visibly improve the usability and adoption of customer-facing platforms, directly enhancing field workflows and accelerating omnichannel execution.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the relevant Field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in Data/MDM/CRM product management and/or commercial data strategy within life sciences or regulated industries; proven record delivering enterprise data products that improve CRM/omnichannel performance.
  • Expertise in information architecture, taxonomy/master data, and content governance across structured & unstructured sources.
  • Demonstrated success leading crossfunctional roadmaps from concept to scale; operationalizing governance and process innovation (including agentic/AI controls).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce/Veeva ecosystems, martech, and data platforms; experience partnering on a customerfacing CRM roadmap.
  • Strong Communication (oral/written) & Interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing across diverse and senior commercial leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in working with others to achieve organizational objectives including the ability to anticipate and adapt, own and or/work group tactics to support changing business needs
