In this role, you will address global product stewardship and regulatory matters across a diverse portfolio of products serving applications such as packaging, coatings, printing inks, cosmetics, automotive, and building & construction.
You will actively support our global manufacturing facilities in the US, EU, and Southeast Asia, while leveraging EH&S and regulatory data within the UL WERCS Studio and Oracle system to strengthen and advance our product stewardship programs.
This role is full time and onsite in Hatfield, PA.
We offer a stable, long-term career path in a company that values its people as much as its products. You'll be supported by a culture built on respect, accountability, and collaboration - with the opportunity to grow within a global organization that continues to expand.
What You'll Do
As a Product Stewardship Specialist, you will:
  • Support the development and management of systems that ensure compliance with global regulatory, legal, and ethical obligations related to the safe use of Penn Color products.
  • Ensure compliance with global chemical regulations including GHS, REACH, TSCA, global food contact, global chemical inventories, EU Poison Centre Notifications, USMCA, and related frameworks.
  • Leverage internal processes and software systems, including UL WERCS Studio and Oracle, to support product stewardship and customer regulatory requirements.
  • Support global notification activities and REACH obligations across international operations.
  • Respond to customer requests for regulatory compliance statements and forms (e.g., global food contact, NSF, cosmetics, toys, and related applications).
  • Process and manage raw material regulatory information within UL WERCS and Oracle systems.
  • Manage WERCS revisions to support accurate generation of SDSs and product labels.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, EH&S, and Information Systems to maintain robust product stewardship programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within regulatory systems and processes.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring
We welcome professionals who are early in their careers and eager to grow within product stewardship and regulatory compliance.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience within the chemical and/or polymer industries.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GHS SDSs, global food contact requirements, REACH, TSCA, EU Poison Centre Notifications, and global chemical inventories.
  • Working knowledge of Product Stewardship principles.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and database management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based and requires:
  • Daily use of computer systems and regulatory databases.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and global facilities.
  • The ability to manage detailed documentation and regulatory data with accuracy and precision.
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments when supporting facility initiatives (with appropriate PPE).
