Job description

Job Title: Project Manager - Construction Location: Tampa Bay Area Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple construction and steel fabrication/erection projects from kickoff through completion
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, field crews, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Track material procurement, fabrication schedules, and delivery timelines
  • Oversee field installation and erection activities to meet quality and safety standards
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and overall project performance
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies
  • Resolve project issues and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support estimating, planning, and project closeout activities as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience in steel fabrication, steel erection, or general construction
  • Strong understanding of structural steel projects, fabrication processes, and construction operations
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of scheduling software, project tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and contract management
  • OSHA knowledge and commitment to workplace safety
  • Experience coordinating fabrication shop operations and field installation teams
  • Knowledge of structural steel detailing and erection sequencing
  • Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed
