Job Description Summary:

ModMed is looking for a dedicated Product Owner to serve as a primary subject matter expert for our ePrescribing (eRx) team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical requirements and product strategy, ensuring that our EMA suite of products remains at the forefront of the industry. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, internal engineering teams, and external partners to drive innovation, resolve complex issues, and maintain rigorous regulatory compliance.

Your Role:

  • Serve as the definitive ePrescribing (eRx) product resource for cross-functional ModMed teams, providing guidance on product functionality and workflows.

  • Partner with Product Management to develop, scope, and manage ePrescribing initiatives that address customer needs, industry shifts, and value-add opportunities.

  • Analyze and engage with internal teams to identify, debug, and resolve product-related issues reported by customers, solution partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in periodic partner conversations to stay informed on current industry issues and evaluate value-add solutions offered by external vendors.

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that eRx features are delivering tangible value to both the business and our customers.

  • Proactively identify and communicate new certification requirements (including DEA, ONC, and Cures Act) to ensure our products remain fully compliant with federal regulations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of our proprietary software (EMA), specifically those modules that interact with eRx workflows, or 2+ years of business analyst/product owner experience with an EMR company.

  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory bodies and standards (NCPDP, Surescripts, DEA, ONC, Cures Act) is preferred.

  • Proven ability to debug complex product issues and collaborate with technical teams on long-term resolutions.

  • Experience generating metrics and translating data into actionable business insights.

  • A knack for creative thinking when scoping new capabilities and navigating the constraints of healthcare technology.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead "Initiative" discussions across various departments.

  • Ideally seeking a candidate to work in a hybrid environment within our Boca Raton, FL headquarters.
