Job description

About BizScout

BizScout is an M&A marketplace making business acquisitions more accessible. We're a small, growing team based in Austin building technology and services that connect buyers, sellers, and brokers in the US small-to-medium business market. We're at an exciting inflection point - scaling our platform, expanding our services, and preparing for significant growth in 2026.

About the Role

We're looking for a high-agency problem-solver to join our operations team and help drive key company priorities forward. This role sits at the intersection of operations, strategy, and analysis - you'll work on whatever matters most at any given moment, from building performance dashboards to crafting board presentations to identifying growth opportunities.

This is the right role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and wants to build foundational skills across business operations in a startup environment. You'll work directly with leadership and have visibility into all aspects of the business.

What You'll Do
  • Support strategic planning and execution: build models, create dashboards, track KPIs, and identify where we're falling short or where opportunities exist
  • Create polished deliverables for internal leadership and external stakeholders (board decks, strategy memos, reports)
  • Dive into our financials and operational data to surface insights and trends that inform decision-making
  • Manage cross-functional projects that support company priorities - product launches, partnership initiatives, process improvements
  • Support marketing and growth initiatives as needed
  • Own problems end-to-end: you'll be expected to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive implementation
Who You Are
  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or high-growth startups
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in financial modeling, data analysis, and business metrics; project management experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - you can distill complexity into clear, compelling narratives
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, but able to move quickly and prioritize ruthlessly
  • Self-starter who's energized by variety and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excited about startups and eager to learn across all aspects of a business
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides; experience with design tools like Figma or Canva a plus
Position Details:
  • Type: Contract
  • Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience
  • Location: Fully remote. Bangladesh or Philippines preferred.
    • Please note: This role requires being available during regular business hours in US Central Time Zone (10am-3pm CT) with a mix of virtual & async collaboration.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; finance degree preferred.
