Senior Product Manager, Retrospective Risk Adjustment Coding

7707 Remote - United States Full-time regular

Datavant is the data collaboration platform trusted for healthcare. Guided by our mission to make the world’s health data secure, accessible and actionable, we provide critical data solutions for organizations across the healthcare ecosystem - including providers, health plans, researchers, and life sciences companies. From fulfilling a single patient’s request for their medical records to powering the AI revolution in healthcare, Datavanters are building the future of how data is connected and used to improve health.

By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a driven and highly collaborative team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare.

What We’re Looking For

Datavant is migrating its entire retrospective risk adjustment coding platform to next-generation infrastructure and this role sits at the center of that transformation. As Senior PM for Coding Data Platform, you will own the data strategy that moves medical data reliably from customers and internal Datavant partners into the hands of users every day.

You will define the roadmap for data ingestion, pipeline reliability, scalability and usage patterns. Beyond the immediate roadmap, this role offers something rarer: the opportunity to develop genuine depth in healthcare data. You will understand how clinical data flows from payer to retrieval to coding; how it gets ingested, transformed, and structured and you will have direct influence over how the underlying platform infrastructure is optimized for downstream consumption by AI models, reporting tools, and client-facing products. If you want to be the person who truly understands the data layer in a healthcare AI company, this is that seat.

This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of product, data engineering, ML platform, operations, and client success, with direct influence over the pace and quality of client migrations to Datavant's flagship coding platform. The work is real, the scope is broad, and your decisions directly affect coder productivity and client outcomes, with clear senior sponsorship and visibility to VP and C‑suite.

What You Will Do

  • Roadmap & Strategy: Own the product roadmap for the Coding Data Platform. Prioritize across engineering, client, and platform demands and communicate tradeoffs to senior leadership.
  • Data Integration: Lead Integration strategies with clients and Datavant’s retrieval business and transition to the new Document Services layer, including adoption of universal document identifiers across coding systems.
  • Pipeline Automation: Drive automation of the project setup lifecycle, from data receipt to its availability downstream to end users and define the metrics that make pipeline performance visible and actionable.
  • Client Data Onboarding: Maintain standardized data specifications and ingestion profiles across MA, ACA, and Medicaid programs. Ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance and reduce manual configuration errors.
  • Migration Support: Define dual-load strategies, rollback windows, and project routing logic to support client migrations to the next generation platform
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Serve as the connective tissue across Data Integration, ML Platform, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Retrieval, Operations and Client Success owning RACI clarity and unblocking dependencies.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in data platform, data integration. Experience as PM at the center of a multi-team platform migration.
  • Technical fluency in data pipeline concepts, including pipeline architecture, database replication, API design without needing to write code.
  • Execution-Oriented Comfortable owning complex problems and delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Experience with cloud-based document repositories, Snowflake/Databricks, or OCR/document ingestion pipelines.
