Key responsibilities

  • Own the API product lifecycle, including strategy, roadmap, design, delivery, and performance.

  • Manage the public API developer portal to ensure clear, current, and complete documentation for quick client integration.

  • Oversee partner integrations with platforms like Shopify and Salesforce, and manage data validation service providers by evaluating, monitoring, and maintaining vendor SLAs.

Job description

Accertify enables commerce by doing one thing extraordinarily well: pinpointing fraud. The company's Predictive Yes Platform helps businesses say yes to more - more good customers, more revenue, and more growth - without getting burned. It's a precise, confident, data-backed yes, made possible by joining signals across the entire customer lifecycle through unmatched data volume, layered AI-powered models, and a consortium approach that protects clients from bad actors spotted anywhere in the network while unlocking business with good actors verified anywhere in the network. With more than 10 billion transactions and over $1 trillion in commerce processed in 2025 alone, Accertify delivers the intelligence and precision that fraud and payments teams need to say yes confidently and enable growth. That's the More Yes difference.

As an API Product Manager, you own how the world connects to Accertify: our APIs, our partner integrations, and the data validation providers that feed our decisioning. Integration speed directly affects revenue, data provider quality directly affects our models, and developer experience directly affects how our clients feel about working with us. You'll be accountable for all three.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own the API product lifecycle. Strategy, roadmap, design, delivery, and performance. You decide what we build and in what order, and you're accountable for improving integration speed and time-to-revenue.
  • Run the public API developer portal. Keep documentation clear, current, and complete so clients can integrate quickly with minimal hand-holding from client services.
  • Manage partner integrations. Own our integrations with platforms like Shopify and Salesforce, keeping them compatible, scalable, and aligned with the direction of our fraud and identity solutions. Beyond today's integrations, identify and prioritize other platforms and marketplaces where our customers transact, and build the case for where we should show up next.
  • Own our data validation service providers. Manage the portfolio of vendors that supply identity verification, email and phone intelligence, address validation, and device signals to our decisioning. Evaluate new providers, monitor performance, coverage, and cost, hold vendors to their SLAs, and decide when to add or replace one.
  • Partner across the business. Work with engineering, client services, sales, and partnerships to support enterprise client integrations, and serve as the go-to voice for Accertify's API capabilities internally and externally.
  • Decide with data. Track API usage, adoption, integration timelines, vendor SLAs, and developer satisfaction, and use them to drive product decisions.

What Success Looks Like

  • Enterprise clients integrate within weeks, and time-to-revenue shrinks measurably.
  • Developers describe our documentation as the best in the fraud space, unprompted.
  • Our data validation provider portfolio is deliberately curated: every vendor earns its place on performance and cost, and we're never surprised by a degradation.
  • Partner integrations are an asset our sales team leads with.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in fraud, identity, payments, or SaaS platforms.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML), and what makes a developer ecosystem work.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and partner relationships, and know how to identify the partnerships that compound in value.
  • Experience managing data providers. You know that coverage, match rates, latency, and cost per lookup all matter, and you know how to hold a vendor accountable to an SLA.
  • Communication with equal fluency to a staff engineer and a CFO, and you raise hard conversations early.
  • Experience translating customer and partner needs into scalable, reusable solutions.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Salesforce, or Ping Identity.
  • Experience with identity verification or data enrichment providers (email/phone intelligence, device fingerprinting, address validation).
  • Background in developer experience or API-first product strategy.

Additional Details:

  • Potential Salary Range: $150,000 to $180,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
  • This role is eligible for remote US-based (work-from-home) locations. Chicago-based candidates would work in a hybrid capacity from Accertify's HQ in Itasca, IL.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work for Accertify in the U.S. is required, as Accertify will not pursue Visa sponsorship for this position.
