JOB SUMMARY

The Product Line Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including but not limited to gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product value proposition and product lifecycle vision. This role partners closely with sales, engineering, regulatory, and operations to ensure revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met, the role also ensures product goals match the overall company goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute product line strategy aligned with business growth objectives and evolving clinical needs.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and clinical data to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the strategy & growth leader on innovation pipeline, new market entry, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisition targets.

Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Management

  • Collaborative development of the product line Roadmap with the commercial team and technical team to clearly communicate the vision and value of the portfolio to the organization.
  • Lead full product lifecycle management from concept through end-of-life, including VOC gathering, clinical validation, and roadmap execution.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer requirements and optimize the portfolio for profitability, focus, and clinical impact.
  • Provide ongoing financial and technical justification for product development and enhancement initiatives.

Marketing & Commercial Execution

  • Ensure key product features and benefits are clearly communicated to the Sales Channel and supported by an effective marketing plan
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and value propositions highlighting differentiated clinical and economic benefits.
  • Coordinate the creation of sales and marketing tools including brochures, pitch decks, sales aids, and training materials.
  • Lead KOL engagement and support clinical studies that showcase product superiority and drive adoption.
  • Develop go-to-market and regional launch plans in coordination with Sales and distribution partners.

Revenue and Pricing Management

  • Owns the pricing strategy to maximize profitability and competitiveness
  • Develops annual revenue forecasts and monitor performance against annual objectives.
  • Leverage sales, pricing, and market data to shape strategy and inform business decisions.
  • Lead competitive landscape analysis to inform go-to-market plans and pricing strategy.
  • Contribute to business case development for product enhancements, regional launches, and service offerings

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales & Service, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Operations to deliver high-impact products on time and on budget.
  • Support launch readiness, Channel education initiatives and internal alignment on strategy and execution.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate strategic acquisition targets to complement and expand product lines.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics and maintain ongoing communication to gather technical, financial, and commercial insights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, marketing, or business required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in the medical device industry, ideally in a field that supports interventional devices (Supplier or OEM).
  • Demonstrated success in product management, strategic marketing, and experience leading cross functional teams to develop and execute product portfolio strategies.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively present the organization and its products and respond to questions from groups of customers, managers, and internal
  • Knowledge of Interventional Medical procedures preferred.
  • Expertise in market segmentation, competitive analysis, and value-based pricing and messaging.
  • Proficient in Excel-based financial modeling, Power BI dashboards, and market modeling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with a professional demeanor and customer-centric mindset.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

Estimated 20% Domestic and International

Base Salary/Hourly Range for this position is: $110,000 to $145,000 annually, and bonus target is 3%. Benefits including Medical, Rx, Vision, Dental, and Health Savings Account (HSA), Retirement and Security benefits including 401k and Life Insurance. In addition to Paid Time Off and paid Holidays, each employee receives 16 hours paid time each calendar year to perform volunteer services for Nordson-sponsored events. The base pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills
