Product Handler – Picker (Full Time)


Department: Inventory Operations

Reports To: Inventory Operations Supervisor

Location: Denver, CO


Job Summary

The Product Handler – Picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders in the BuyWander warehouse. This includes selecting customer pick waves, navigating aisles, locating SKU'd items, scanning boxes onto carts, scanning items onto pick shelves, tracking down lost items, and assisting customers as needed.


Responsibilities

The Product Handler – Picker supports order fulfillment operations and must be prepared to perform any of the following duties:


Order Picking

  • Retrieve items from warehouse locations according to customer orders using a smartphone and scanner.
  • Verify order accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with speed and accuracy to meet daily performance goals.


Item Scanning

  • Ensure that every item is scanned into the correct cart and/or shelf location — nothing moves without being scanned.
  • Visually confirm that all location scans are registering correctly.
  • Conduct warehouse inventory scans as needed.


Customer Assistance

  • Assist with running customer orders and customer load-out as directed by the Supervisor.


Lost Item Tracking

  • Hunt for lost items in the warehouse using last-known-location data and other logic.


Warehouse Organization

  • Maintain clean and organized shelves.
  • Ensure items are stored in their designated locations.


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in order picking is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.


Physical Requirements

  • This role involves sustained physical activity throughout the shift. The following are bona fide requirements of the position:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a goal-driven environment.
  • Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
  • Must be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.
