Kelly is hiring for a Product Development Research Investigator for a 12-month contract role at Midland, MI 48640 with our prestigious client.
Job Title: Product Development Research Investigator
Primary Location: Midland, MI 48640
12-month contract - Onsite role

Monday–Thursday - 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay range: $40-60/hr Depending on Experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Research & Development Group
 
  • Provides research into specific applications such as improved quality of existing products, more cost-effective manufacturing processes, a new product line or new area of business.
  • Delivers the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with the business and manufacturing teams to define process technology direction and programs to the business.
  • Performs theoretical and experimental scientific and technological investigation directed toward the acquisition of new knowledge.
  • May conduct analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work to support principal scientific research. Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results, including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
  • Identifies, assesses and develops new scientific concepts/technologies in basic or applied research with significant business impact.
  • Documents research leading to patent disclosure or technical and/or scientific advancement.

Experienced technical professional with in-depth knowledge of both formulation and processing, responsible for completing complex experiments requiring interpretation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with formulation, filled polymer systems, and processing equipment
• Understands the products and competencies across a business segment
• Leads and/or contributes to multiple projects to develop solutions, drive business adoption of technology and meet customer needs
• May lead specific technical segments in larger R&D programs
• Suggests/creates innovations, applying tested ideas or methods from other areas
• Solves complex problems independently; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
• Ability to work well in a team environment
