Job Description

EBAD is seeking a talented Product Development Lead who will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers within the NEA and TiNi Mechanism Development Team. The Product Development Lead has the following main areas of responsibility:

  • Technically oversee progress of new product development and work through design changes, test and performance anomalies with staff engineers and customers as required
  • Drive and support execution your team's projects in all areas: technical requirements review and verification, design creation and evaluation, risk assessments and mitigation plans, drawing and test procedure review, design review content, proposal technical and cost reviews, and problem solving
  • Leverage experience and expertise to mentor, train, and in general develop individual and overall team capabilities. Provides appropriate training and development opportunities that stretch team members in valuable directions, and close gaps.
  • Drive Engineering success by ensuring use of consistent, rigorous engineering processes, tools, methods, standards, and techniques.
  • Build and drive a culture of rigorous engineering practices, RCCA, problem solving, and Knowledge Management.
  • Establishes, measures, and drives improvements in standard work, processes, and procedures required for their team to be successful in a changing environment. Gathers and analyzes data to identify and then resolve systemic issues faced by their team.
  • Manage and grow your team's talent and capabilities to align with current and future company needs
  • Determine staffing levels and build high performing, diverse, and flexible teams that meet our customer project performance needs now and into the future.
  • Support sales efforts, customer interface activities, customer problem resolution, and employee relations/morale as a member of the EBAD management team. Facilitate a successful team-based organization.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 5 years of project, design or related engineering experience. Mechanical, Aerospace, and/or Chemical are the preferred engineering disciplines.
  • Required experience includes problem solving/root cause analysis, leadership of multi-functional technical teams, project management, technical writing and cost estimating.
  • Candidates should have the ability to interpret and analyze mechanical specifications and data.
  • Knowledge of missile/launch vehicle/ spacecraft systems as well as experience with manufacturing processes and product development is necessary.
  • Experience with government specifications and industry standards related to aerospace components' and systems' design, manufacture, and test.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
