Job Description

The purpose of the internship is to provide a current student or recent graduate with practical, hands-on experience in a technical setting while contributing to meaningful projects that support the goals of the department and organization. The intern will gain exposure to day-to-day operations, develop key professional skills, and explore potential career paths.

Job Profile Summary:

The Data Engineer Intern assists in the research, design, development, analysis, testing, and implementation of data pipelines and data storage. The Intern is responsible for communicating project information to management, project / product management, or other personnel working on projects. They write and maintain documentation and may support more senior developers in their duties. In addition, they support team members and ensure established goals and deadlines are met. Interaction with key management of status and significant challenges is imperative

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work with team members to assist in developing solution using python, sql, and other data manipulation tools.
  • Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with time sensitive initiatives while delivering high quality projects on time
  • With senior engineering assistance, execute high quality implementations, execute effective unit tests, and write documentation
  • With guidance, perform miscellaneous projects as assigned, assisting senior engineers as needed
  • Aggressively seek new knowledge, skills, and abilities as it relates to data engineering

*This part-time, 20hr/week internship is currently budgeted until the end of FEB 2027

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
