Job description

Job Title:
Summer 2027 Intern - Product Quality
Summary:
As a Summer Quality Intern at Momentive's Garrett, IN site, you will support product and process quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, mapping manufacturing and quality processes, and identifying opportunities to enhance performance. Working closely with quality and operations teams, you will apply data-driven problem-solving techniques to improve product reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Students pursuing Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar technical disciplines, particularly those with coursework in statistics, process improvement, and lab work will be well-positioned to excel in this role.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Map processes in production and quality areas to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Help in review of quality management processes and procedures
  • Gather and analyze data using statistical analysis use data driven decision making to suggest and implement improvements in products and processes
  • Communicate with operations leadership and manufacturing personnel as needed
  • Strengthen organizational culture through safety and sustainability, customer centricity, by focusing on employee engagement and inclusion.
  • There will be several projects to focus on for the summer as well as opportunities that arise in the course of the summer

Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar technical discipline.

Program Qualifications:
  • The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
  • The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.
