The Regulatory Product Manager is a senior individual contributor who provides strategic leadership and expertise in global product compliance and regulatory affairs. This role partners cross-functionally to monitor regulatory developments, assess risk, and ensure product compliance requirements are effectively integrated throughout the product lifecycle to support global market access and business growth.

Based in Fairhaven, MA with flexibility for the role to also be located in Carlsbad, CA

What You Will Be Doing
  • Monitor global regulatory developments related to product safety, chemicals, environmental compliance, labeling, packaging, and reporting requirements.

  • Interpret regulations and translate requirements into practical guidance for Product Development, Sourcing, Quality, Operations, and Legal teams.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on product compliance, safety standards, restricted substances, and regulatory reporting obligations.

  • Partner with product teams to identify compliance risks, establish mitigation strategies, and support commercialization decisions.

  • Define regulatory compliance standards, testing requirements, documentation expectations, and risk-based escalation frameworks.

  • Oversee regulatory documentation processes, including technical files, declarations of conformity, registrations, notifications, and audit support.

  • Provide training, tools, and resources that strengthen organizational compliance capabilities and regulatory awareness.

  • Advise business leaders on emerging regulatory risks and opportunities, balancing compliance requirements with commercial objectives.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field, with 8+ years of progressive experience in product compliance, product safety, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of global product regulatory requirements, including product safety, chemical compliance, labeling, environmental regulations, and frameworks such as REACH, RoHS, CPSIA, Proposition 65, and WEEE.

  • Proven ability to interpret complex legal and technical regulations and translate them into clear, actionable business guidance.

  • Experience integrating regulatory requirements into product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain processes, preferably within consumer products or other regulated industries.

  • Excellent analytical, research, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assess regulatory risk effectively.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, work independently in a matrixed environment, and travel occasionally as required.
