POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Development Associate supports and collaborates with Design, Production, Technical Design, and Merchandising to develop the ready-to-wear assortment while ensuring the design vision is met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management of product from prototype to production stage.
  • Tech pack management.
  • Product fittings and communication of style updates to cross functioning teams
  • Showroom sample & PR sample management.
  • Daily vendor correspondence in regards development and deadlines.
  • Working collaboratively with cross functioning teams such as Merchandising, Design, Fabric/Trim and Production to ensure product you are managing is accurate.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of product development experience.
  • Working knowledge of the production cycle from concept through completion.
  • Experience with PLM systems is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to cross functional teams such as Design, Production, Tech, and Fabric.
  • Strong communication skills with overseas vendors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with design team to ensure creative vision of product is obtained.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Apparel construction knowledge.
  • Familiarity with contemporary fashion aesthetics.
  • Solution oriented

$70,000 - $80,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC-based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
