THE ROLE: The Business Development Sales Associate will focus on identifying sales leads among new and existing customers, qualifying prospects, and setting appointments for our sales team. This position plays a critical role in initiating the customer journey by making connections, gathering information, and scheduling appointments with qualified buyers. The Role:The Business Development Sales Associate interacts with hundreds of customers – online, over the phone and in person – to help guide their RV purchase in our professional sales environment. Responding to leads in a timely fashion, answering questions, providing information and helping guide customers effectively from phone and internet contact to an in-store experience while providing an exceptional customer experience is key. With your outstanding communication and listening skills, you’ll help our customers select their perfect vehicle, negotiate terms to ensure that payment options meet their lifestyles, budgets, and expectations.  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Lead Generation & Prospect Qualification: Identify and engage potential customers through phone calls, emails, and texts to qualify them as potential buyers of our RV products.
  • Appointment Setting: Contact prospective customers and schedule appointments for the sales team to conduct personalized product demonstrations and follow-up meetings.
  • Ask for the Sale When Appropriate: When a lead expresses significant interest or readiness, proactively ask for the sale or encourage the customer to schedule a test drive, viewing, or consultation to move forward in their purchasing decision.
  • Database Management: Use CRM tools to log customer interactions, maintain a pipeline of leads, and track the status of appointments.
  • Follow-Up & Nurturing: Follow up with leads from marketing campaigns, online inquiries, or previous contacts to ensure ongoing interest and move them through the sales funnel.
  • Customer Interaction: Develop rapport with potential customers, answer preliminary questions, and gather essential information to provide context to the sales team before the appointment.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with sales consultants to ensure smooth transitions from lead qualification to face-to-face meetings, providing all necessary details to maximize the sales team’s success.
  • Meeting Sales Key Metrics: Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for setting appointments and contributing to overall sales team goals.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Regularly report on performance, including the number of appointments set, lead conversion rates, and other relevant metrics. 

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TABLE: 

  • Experience in appointment setting, telemarketing, or sales support within the RV, automotive, or outdoor recreation industries is a plus, but NOT required
  • Ability to build rapport with customers online, through texting, e-mail, and on the phone
  • Strong phone and email communication skills
  • Positive, goal oriented and driven to success in a fast-paced work environment
  • Comfortable using CRM software to track leads
  • Willing to work weekends
